The spring and summer months can be especially hard to deal with when you have oily skin. Naturally oily complexions mixed with sweat and warm environments can be quite the villain to battle. Now that I have relocated to Florida, I have had to deal with this everyday! BUT there have been products which have helped me a lot along the way. So from one oily-skinned girl to another, here are my 5 secret weapons for battling oily skin in the summer!

Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I was a little skeptical of this moisturizer at first. It has a very “sunscreen” smell which often means the product will be greasy. But I was wrong! It blends right into the skin and provides great sun protection without the greasiness.

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer

An oldie but a goodie! I wasn’t going to include this one on the list but I used a different primer today which made me realize how good this one is. It has a creamy texture, unlike a lot of silky-feeling mattifying primers, which makes it easy to apply and comfortable to wear.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation

Hands down, my new favorite foundation. It leaves a gorgeous finish and stays put all day. Dare I say, it looks better as the day goes on!

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater

So you may be thinking, why would I use a hydrating spray on oily skin? Wouldn’t that encourage oiliness? Nope! With all of these mattifying products, your skin will love a good drink. I like using this spray before primer.

Olay ProX Advanced Facial Cleansing Brush System

I have seen a major difference in how oily my skin gets throughout the day ever since I started using this. I have also been getting less breakouts and random blemishes. Using a brush like this, even if it’s only a couple times a week, will help to give your skin the deep clean it needs.
