Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday season. Can you believe how quickly it went by? Never mind that, can you believe how quickly 2017 went by?! It seems like I was just packing up my college things and leaving campus for the very last time.
When I look back on 2017, it was an insightful year full of love and growth. I experienced a few “firsts”, like my first post-grad job, my first serious relationship, my first venture into freelancing, and my first month of 1,000+ pageviews right here on GY! I am very proud of my accomplishments, both in my personal and professional life, especially with how Glamorously You has grown.
I started Glamorously N.D. Rose almost three (!!) years ago with absolutely no knowledge of blogging, graphic design, SEO, social media, or photography (and how to name a blog, apparently). I look at the evolution of this site as proof of my growth, since I do everything here, top to bottom.
Last year, my goal was make this site look more professional, have a more straightforward brand, and be filled with meaningful content. As a result, I did a huge site design overhaul in February, a rename in June, and a major content clean-out in the fall.
I am very pleased with the way this site is run now, and apparently you are too!
I saw the biggest spike in my readership in 2017, so let’s look at the posts you loved most:
Too many times, introverts put themselves down and feel negatively about their introversion. I wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate the amazing things that come with being in the “sparkly shell.”
I love using journaling to reflect on life and record goals, but sometimes that can get a little old. That’s why I came up with these fun journal activities!
You all loved the first 10, so I came up with 10 more!
Not all of these books were written specifically for introverts, but they have all resonated with my introverted side throughout my life.
My Journaling Zero-to-Hero Challenge will take you from journaling amateur to full-on journalista in 4 weeks time. Have you taken the challenge yet?
Ever since I ventured into freelancing, I discovered the importance of self-discipline and productivity. These are the tools that have helped me get my tasks done effectively in 2017.
A new year is a great time to think about how you can be a better you!
Another fan favorite! I rarely talk about my personal/romantic life, but I really wanted to discuss my experience with being an introvert on the dating scene, and now one in a committed relationship.
Okay, so that was 2017 and all its glory. It was a great year, but it is time to move on.
A new year has arrived and a fresh start is upon us. And new years come with some new years resolutions!
New years resolutions are not just goals; they are lifestyle changes and aspirations. They are things you wish to take on because it will improve your life, and maybe even the lives of those around you.
Because they are a step above just a regular goal, the commitment to new years resolutions has to be strong. How many of us have given up on them after the first few weeks (or days) into January?
The reason for this is because these resolutions were either:
- not realistic, or
- you didn’t set up a system to hold yourself accountable to achieving them
Simply stating, “I want to make more money in 2018” won’t make you more money. You need a realistic plan of execution, a way to keep track of your accomplishments, and a method for holding yourself accountable.
This is where I come in!
You all know I’m a total journalista, so what better way for me to help you reach your new years resolutions than through journaling?!
Not only is it one of my favorite hobbies, but it is a proven method for achieving goals. When you write goals down, you are 80% more likely to achieve them. Can you believe that?! How could you turn down the chance of getting what you want in 2018 if it’s that simple to start and you have me helping you along the way?
So, here it is: your own 2018 Resolution Journal, made by yours truly.
The journal includes:
- Pages to document your 5 biggest new years resolutions
- Space to write about your master plan for accomplishing each one, and deadlines to reach them by
- Pages dedicated to recording updates throughout the year
- A “Hits & Misses” page to discuss your biggest successes and setbacks in 2018
Let’s get serious together about accomplishing our new years resolutions! I have already filled out my journal and have begun to execute some elements of my “master plans.” Now it’s your turn!
If you’re ready to get some serious s**t done this year, then drop your email below so I can send you the download. It’s free, so why not?!
